Hello and Welcome! I'm Angie, I'm 22 and I live in Utah with my beautiful wife and soul mate Jen, our two kitties Wedge Catilles (our Maine Coon mix) and Darth Mau (our Egyptian Mau) and our birdie Jango Peck (a cockatiel!) 

I was born and raised in Illinois and I grew up with a passion for anything to do with arts n' crafts, gaming and general geekiness. In 2003, I met a beautiful girl on a Harry Potter forum named Jen. We became best friends in September and by February 2004, we were dating! We were in a long distance relationship, as Jen lived in Utah. I knew, from the very start, that she was my soul mate. In 2007, I turned 18 on July 28th and by August 21st, I was in Utah, living with my fianceé! Yes, we were engaged long distance! On September 13th, 2007 we tied the knot. Jen is my very best friend, my soul mate and my wife. We have been together for eight years now and will be celebrating our four year wedding anniversary this September (2011.) 

A large part of our life together has been gaming. Even when we first started dating, we played America's Army and Battlefield: Vietnam and 1942 together all. the. time. Literally, HOURS. From there, we moved onto Guild Wars and finally in 2006, World of Warcraft and we haven't looked back. We played on the Xbox and Nintendo DS together too. Ah, geek love! ♥

Now that we're side-by-side, we still play World of Warcraft, are eagerly awaiting Star Wars: The Old Republic, play all sorts of games on the Xbox 360 Elite and the Wii, the Nintendo DSi and tabletop RPGs and board games as well! 

I still have a passion for art and I doodle, sketch and draw mostly in cartoon and anime/manga styles. Besides being a gamer and an artist, I am a huge geek. I love Star Wars, Star Trek (especially TOS and DS9,) Stargate SG-1 (and the original movie. ♥) Anime and manga, miniature making and painting, model building, LEGOs and Mega Bloks, science, history, archaeology, astrology, astronomy and mythology plus so. much. more. 

I'm also addicted to shopping, fashion, make-up, nail polish and nail art and anything outdoorsy. Whether that's playing airsoft, camping, hiking, boating or just sitting out on our back porch, smoking our hookah and BBQing. It's perfect!

I dream of working from home, especially as an artist or blogger (though really, I'm doing this for fun. I don't think of a personal blog as a way to get rich quick or anything of the sort. I just like talking and meeting like-minded people.)

I'm a huge supporter and member of the LGBTQ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer) community and while this may be silly to say, my wife and I are both total girly-girls. Though we're not afraid to get dirty. I also am a Wiccan and studying Strigoi Vii. If you wanna know more about any of these topics, just ask! I fully believe in open-mindedness, which is why I don't hush up about sexuality, religion and the like. 

I'm truly a "mixed bag." I'm a gamer girl, a geek, I'm artsy, I'm gothic, I'm a bit of a hippie, I'm a girly-girl, I'm a tomboy and the list goes on. I also consider myself a foodie and a hobbyist, because yeah - you will definitely hear me ramble on about yummy eats and my newest hobby. Oh and I am a total "big kid." 

So I think that's enough about me (for now!) Here's a little bit about why I made We're That Geeky. For one, I hope this can be a place for me to talk about my geeky, gaming interests until my little heart is content. Second, I really wanted a place to put my web comic (or erm, my web comic in the making.) Third, I just want to meet like-minded geeky gamers. So welcome!
